If you are existing in a living or workspace that does not motivate you, what you don't realize is that your thoughts, emotions, and actions are actually reflected by how you feel and function in that space.
For me, being a Designer is understanding the clients needs and wants, and curating an environment that exemplifies this vision, so that my clients can absolutely love the space that they work so hard to be in.
